My History
I have lived in Walker for 26 years, moving here from the Ottertail Lake Minnesota area where I was raised. From 1984 until 1991, I worked for The In-Fisherman Network, owned by Al and Ron Lindner at their Camp Fish operation located near Walker, MN. Camp Fish was an instructional fishing summer camp for youth and also provided adult/child programs.
In 1994, I began to fish The In-Fisherman’s Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) as a full-time touring pro. That year, I won the Rookie of the Year title and was one of 40 qualifiers invited to fish the PWT World Walleye Championship held on Lake of the Woods.
At the championship, I finished in 11th place and also set a PWT Big Fish record by catching a 12.12 pound walleye. In 2002, I realized my goal by winning the PWT qualifying tournament held on Leech Lake out of 160 competitors. I now fish tournaments selectively and have devoted more time to guiding in the Leech Lake area and working as a realtor.
I am married to "Rocky" my wife of 41 years. We have a daughter, Nikki, who works for the University of Minnesota, Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
My Goal
My goal every trip is to provide my clients with a safe, successful, and memorable experience on the water. How fortunate I am to have met and fished with so many people, experiencing so much in the exciting world of fishing. I have met and made many friends for whom I am eternally grateful.
